SyncRTC is a global company that specializes in cloud-based video collaboration. Its mashme.io platform, and associated solutions including Room of the Future, have created a new paradigm in training and education by enabling integrated real-time online multimedia collaboration with many-to-many live video interactions. Leading corporations, universities and business schools worldwide are using SyncRTC’s technology to create immersive, simulated educational environments that serve as a virtual alternative to in-person meetings, training sessions, and educational programmes.
Company history
While studying at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Víctor Sánchez wanted an easy way to connect with friends and family from around the world. However, existing video communications solutions were either too expensive or required IT involvement and dedicated hardware.
Víctor developed video conferencing solution, using an open-source communication protocol (WebRTC), and launched MashMeTV commercially in April 2013. By October, there were over 415,000 users from 71 countries using the application.
